Operational & digital supply chain transformation

We played a lead role in a complex two year organisational and operational restructure that involved creating a new organisation and delivering on enterprise goals that exceeded anticipated cost and service improvements.

We first led an organisational readiness review and by process mapping large parts of the organisation, we discovered the supply chain elements were operating in diverse ways that were neither efficient nor consistent.

We guided our client through the selection and implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program. This meant the 16 different business units were merged into a single supply chain shared service.

The project scope included demand, procurement and manufacturing planning, procurement execution, materials management, warehousing, transport and logistics, and customer services.

By running significant upskilling programs for the permanent team members, the enterprise was able to keep them on after the restructure.

This two year project was underpinned by the ERP implementation and by having the right people, the right processes and the right technologies, we exceeded anticipated cost and service improvements.

The results

A major reduction in supply chain costs while driving improvements in DIFOTIS through a one-team approach.
